This is a fully Primal/Paleo dish if you omit the rice.

  • 1 cup cooked rice (optional)
  • 1 (25 ounce) jar organic marinara sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 medium onion  chopped onion
  • 1/4 medium green pepper diced.
  • 8 cabbage leaves (about half a cabbage

Boil water and place cabbage leaves in the water until soft.  Brown beef in a large pan.  Add seasonings, rice, onions, pepper, and 3/4 cup marinara sauce and mix together well.  Lightly grease 9.5 x 11″ pan.  Fill each cabbage leaf with meat mixture and fold edges to make a wrap.  Place fold side down into the pan.  Repeat until your pan is full of cabbage “pockets”.  Pour remaining marinara sauce over the cabbage rolls, cover pan, and bake at 350F for 45 min.
