We were shopping in HEB and the kids spotted them….a six pack of St. Arnold’s Root Beer.  They had never seen them when we shopped before but after touring the St. Arnold’s brewery a couple days ago they were dying to bring them home.  What a fun expedition.  Scott took the day off for his birthday, and one of the places we visited was St. Arnold’s Brewery in Houston.  For $8 per adult (kids are free) each adult gets a souvenir glass and four tokens for beer from the St. Arnold’s beer hall tap.  Kids get an unlimited supply of root beer:)  There is a short tour of the brewery offered to everyone wearing closed toed shoes.  What a fun way to boldly try some new varieties of beer and enjoy good company.  For more tour info go to the St. Arnold’s Brewery website HERE.  Tours during the week are most family friendly.  We were told the weekend tours were very busy.

Today we made root beer floats from our St. Arnold’s Root Beer and my homemade vanilla ice cream.   Yum!
