Ingredients:
1/2 gallon milk
1/2 cup plain yogurt (with active cultures)
Knox unflavored gelatin (optional)
Instructions:
- Warm milk covered in crock pot for about 2 1/2 hours on “high” until it is 180F.
- Let cool with lid off to 115F.
- Whisk in starter yogurt.
- Wrap crock with a towel and place in oven (that is OFF) overnight.
- Now prepare your strawberry mixture before you go to bed and place it in the refrigerator.
Mix:
1 pint frozen strawberries
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T sugar
1 T lemon juice
The next day….
- Skim off liquid and add a package on unflavored “Knox” gelatin
- Drain liquid off strawberry mixture.
- Combine yogurt and strawberry mixture in blender.
- Blend well and sweeten to taste with honey.
- Store in the refrigerator, or freeze into yogurt pops.
