I couldn’t believe my eyes to see a small collection of organic foods at Aldi and with Aldi prices!! I checked out with a stack of grass-fed beef ($4.49/lb) and an assortment of other organic sauces and cheese for only $40. I asked if these products would be available in the future, and the Aldi’s employee told me that they were a “special buy” so when they’re gone they’re gone. Run out and stock your pantry before the 16th. Let’s give Aldi’s a reason to make the products regular items on their shelves.
FYI- Bring your own shopping bags to Aldi’s or you can buy theirs. You will need a quarter deposit for your shopping cart. They accept only cash or debit cards.

I try to avoid buying foods with hydrogenated oils in them as well, and I still find that I can buy many, many of Aldi’s products. I double-checked on my last two visits there and none of the snack foods I bought had hydrogenated oils in them. Hopefully Aldi will phase out hydrogenated oils entirely, but in the meantime, I recommend just shopping carefully and only buying Aldi products that work with your dietary concerns. I think you’ll still find a lot of good food to buy!
